Maintenance

  • Auto washing is a feature that helps prevent the formation of water scale, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the steam generator. However, it should not be confused with auto descaling, which is a separate process aimed at reducing existing hard water scale buildup.
  • Washing or flushing involves the use of fresh water to thoroughly cleanse the tank and heating elements, effectively removing any accumulated soft water scale. On the other hand, descaling is a specialized procedure that entails introducing a descaling solution into the water tank, allowing it to soak and dissolve hard water scale deposits, and then flushing out the solution.
  • *For manual descaling, certain models such as KEY and AIO are equipped with a convenient service hole on the top of the steam generator. Through this access point, a descaling solution can be applied and allowed to soak for a recommended duration of 2-3 hours. Once the descaling process is complete, the solution can be flushed out to ensure optimal performance.

How To Choose KW For Steam Generator

  • To accurately calculate the room volume in cubic meters (m³), you will need to multiply the length, width, and height of the room in meters. In case the room dimensions are provided in feet and inches, you can convert them to meters using the conversion factors: 1 foot = 0.3048 meter and 1 inch = 0.0254 meter.

    Once you have determined the room volume in cubic meters, different multipliers are applied based on the type of material used in the steam room to calculate the required steam generator kilowatts (KW).

    • For Acrylic walls, the steam generator KW is equivalent to the steam room volume (m³).
    • If Ceramic Tile is used, the steam generator KW is calculated by multiplying 1.30 with the steam room volume (m³).
    • In the case of All Glass tile or Glass Block Walls, the steam generator KW is obtained by multiplying 1.35 with the steam room volume (m³).
    • For Porcelain tile, the steam generator KW is determined by multiplying 1.6 with the steam room volume (m³).
    • Natural stone tiles* up to 1/2″ thickness require a steam generator KW equal to 2 times the steam room volume (m³).
    • Natural stone slabs over 1/2″ thickness necessitate a steam generator KW equal to 2.25 times the steam room volume (m³).

    If the steam room has an exterior wall, you should apply the appropriate multiplier. For a single exterior wall, multiply the steam generator KW by 1.1. For two exterior walls, multiply the steam generator KW by 1.2.

    Ceiling height also factors into the steam generator KW calculation. For a 9ft. ceiling, multiply the steam generator KW by 1.15. For a 10ft. ceiling, multiply the steam generator KW by 1.3.

    If your steam room includes a skylight or outside window, it is advisable to select the next largest generator. Ensure that the skylight or window is double-panel and properly sealed.

    For optimal performance, it is recommended to have a ceiling height below 8 feet.
